48 Posture Taijiquan requires that students have previously studied and completed 24 Posture Taijiquan. These instructions assume SOUTH as the starting direction.

Taiji 48 Form - Posture 8: Lean on a Diagonal

Movements:

Figure 5-46: Turn to your right, pivot your right foot out and shift your weight on it, while extending your right arm to your right.

Figure 5-47: Shift all your weight on your left leg and bring your right foot next to your left. At the same time, lower both palms down, then up and cross them in front of your chest. Right palm on the outside.

Figure 5-48: Step to your front right corner with your right foot, while holding both hands in, fists facing out. (Step Northwest)

Figure 5-49: Shift your weight to your right leg into a Bow stance, while extending your right forearm forward and lowering your left fist next to waist level.
