48 Posture Taijiquan requires that students have previously studied and completed 24 Posture Taijiquan. These instructions assume SOUTH as the starting direction.

Movements:

Figure 5-37: Shift your weight back to your left leg. At the same time, pull your right palm back next to your waist and open your left palm..

Figure 5-38: Turn your right foot out, shift your weight to your right leg and bring your left foot next to it. At the same time, circle your right palm counterclockwise up until it is in front of your chest, palm down; and bring your left palm next to your waist, palm up.
