48 Posture Taijiquan requires that students have previously studied and completed 24 Posture Taijiquan. These instructions assume SOUTH as the starting direction.

Posture 18: Stand on One Leg and Prop Up Palm

Movements:

Stand on One Leg and Prop Up Palm - right side

Figure 5-101: Turn your right foot out slightly and shift your weight forward into Bow stance. At the same time, lift your right fist up.

Figure 5-102: Shift all your weight to your right leg and begin lifting your left knee up. At the same time, bend your right elbow in and bring your left palm between your body and your right arm. Right palm faces down and left palm faces in.

Figure 5-105: Shift all your weight to your left leg and begin lifting your right knee up. At the same time, lower your right forearm, bringing your right palm between your body and your left arm. Left palm faces down and right palm faces in.
