One of our instructors Ayron Howey made his MMA debut on June 23rd, 2007 in North Vancouver, BC. The match lasted a total of 1 minute and 1 second due to submission by a rear naked choke. FYI - The entire fight is included in the Shou-Yu Liang Wushu Taiji Qigong Institute 20th Anniversary DVD, and is much better quality. There is also other MMA fight footage from other Sanshou athletes who are students of Grandmaster Liang\'s students. Those of you that attend our school should really obtain a copy... you can get them from Grandmaster Liang, Helen, or Chenhan.

Thanks Derek. The quality is better on the DVD. BUT I am the first pro MMA fighter in our lineage. Perry must be confused. The other footage features Thai boxing which is not MMA. The people interested in fighting know the difference though so no big deal. I had my first K1 fight in Shenzhen Oct 13th and lost. I won the first 2 rounds but took 4 kicks to the groin and lost in the 3rd round. Overall it was good and I will have the video posted on my website at www.wujikungfu.com as soon as I can. See you all at class this weekend. Ayron
